When I saw the title I was like: I know that movie. Which was true and untrue at the same time. I have seen the first movie that was made under the title, so I hadn’t actually seen this one yet. But since it “retells” (remake) the other one, I sort of did know the movie.
Having said that, it has been long enough to surprise me at places and I couldn’t remember everything from the other one to really compare them. I was still entertained enough to like this as it is. A story with a seemingly missing moral compass … or at least it is tough for the viewer to actually root for anyone – well other than the main character! We do love her (no pun intended). The action is quite well made, but I reckon if you’ve seen the other one, you might not want to spend your time “rewatching” this … up to you I’d say, but well made to warrant a look.
